About the role

 

Are you ready to play a key role in supporting critical production and distribution processes in the Hunter Valley region and beyond?

As a Plant Operator at Liddell, you will take day-to-day responsibility for the production and/or distribution of emulsion products and other ancillary chemicals. This includes handling ammonium nitrate emulsion, AN receiving and distribution, ANS receiving, and gasser manufacture and distribution for both domestic and export customers.

This role will involve working on a rotating shift roster to support 24/5 plus 12/2 operations, ensuring consistent and safe manufacture of products to our customers.

What you will be doing

 

  • To operate and maintain a range of plant equipment, including loaders, telehandlers, tankers, and prime movers;
  • Participate in the manufacture of high-quality emulsion products safely and on time to supply to customers and depots;
  • You will perform quality control checks on raw materials and finished products to ensure compliance and performance;
  • Keep all equipment and work areas clean, safe, and ready for the next shift;
  • Manage raw material inventory, storage, and compliance with licensing and safety standards;
  • Accurately record stock movements, deliveries, and plant operations;
  • Support additional site activities such as gasser manufacture, ANE/ANS handling, and fixed plant maintenance.

What you will bring

 

  • A valid SSAN clearance or eligibility to obtain one;
  • Dangerous Goods (DG) licence; (preferable)
  • An experience handling Dangerous Goods;
  • A background in bulk explosives operations;
  • A Forklift License;
  • Experience in heavy industry, preferably within the mining sector;
  • A proactive mindset and willingness to contribute to a supportive, safety-first team culture.
