About the role

 

We are excited to announce an opportunity for an Electrical & Instrumentation Team Lead to join our Ground Water Treatment Facility Team in Botany, NSW.

 

This is a leadership role for an experienced Electrical professional who enjoys combining technical expertise, people leadership, and long-term asset strategy.

 

Leading a team of three E&I Technicians, you'll play a critical role in maintaining the reliability, safety, and performance of a major continuous manufacturing facility. You'll work closely with operations, maintenance, engineering, and technical teams to plan maintenance activities, improve asset performance, and ensure critical electrical and instrumentation systems remain compliant and fit for purpose. This role also contributes to long-term asset management and capital replacement planning.

What you will be doing

 

  • Lead and support a team of Electrical & Instrumentation Technicians to safely deliver maintenance activities;
  • Coordinate weekly maintenance planning, scheduling, materials, and resource requirements;
  • Partner with operations, mechanical and technical teams to optimise plant reliability and maintenance outcomes;
  • Provide technical guidance and troubleshooting support for electrical and instrumentation systems;
  • Develop long-term asset improvement and replacement plans to support operational performance;
  • Maintain compliance across high-voltage systems, hazardous area equipment, functional safety systems, and engineering documentation.

What you will bring

 

  • Electrical Trade Qualification and a current Electrical Contractor Licence (mandatory);
  • Instrumentation qualifications (Cert III and/or Cert IV) highly regarded;
  • Experience leading maintenance teams within manufacturing, chemical processing, mining, utilities, energy, or other industrial environments;
  • Strong knowledge of electrical and instrumentation maintenance practices;
  • Experience planning preventative, corrective, and reliability-focused maintenance;
  • Ability to influence and collaborate across multiple operational and technical teams;
  • Commitment to safety, continuous improvement, and asset reliability.
