About The Role – Production Planner (Maple Ridge BC)

 

We are excited to announce a new opportunity for a Production Planner within our Digital Solutions team focused on coordinating day-to-day production planning and control activities across multiple product lines and manufacturing work centres. 

 

This position acts as the primary planning interface between Sales, Manufacturing, Engineering, Inventory, Material Handling, Shipping/Logistics, Quality and Purchasing teams to support customer fulfillment and production execution. The role serves as a point of contact for production planning activities, schedule execution, lead times, and operational coordination.

 

 

Role Dimensions 
•    Work Schedule: 7am – 330pm Monday – Friday
•    Office Based role with production floor activity
•    Oversight of production work cells

 

What you will be doing

 

•    Execute production planning and control activities to ensure efficient and effective execution of manufacturing schedules. 
•    Coordinate production workflow for one or multiple product lines through planning and generation of work orders based on customer demand, capacity, and resource availability.
•    Plan and prioritize production schedules to maximize throughput, customer satisfaction, and on-time delivery performance. 
•    Track orders, production jobs, and lead times to ensure fulfillment requirements and customer commitments are achieved. 
•    Identify material, capacity, engineering, quality, or resource constraints that may impact schedule execution and escalate risks with recommended recovery actions.
•    Assess manpower, equipment, capacity, and material constraints needed to support production demand. 
•    Monitor production jobs and schedules to ensure completion within targeted timelines and budgets. 
•    Lead planning meetings and coordinate with Sales, Manufacturing, Purchasing, Inventory, and Engineering stakeholders regarding priorities, constraints, and recovery plans. 
•    Manage lead time commitments and communicate progress, delays, and risks to stakeholders. 
•    Maintain ERP system accuracy, planning records, and production-related transactions. 
•    Manage outsourced, engineering, rework, and production planning related ERP activities. 
•    Prepare performance reports, production status updates, and planning metrics. 
•    Identify and implement process improvements to improve efficiency, service levels, and cost performance. 
•    Participate in Tactical and Operational meetings representing Production Planning and Control. 
•    Support continuous improvement initiatives and Lean Manufacturing practices.

 

What you will bring

 

•    4+ years of production planning experience in a manufacturing environment. 
•    Experience in machining, mechanical assembly, electronic assembly are considered an asset. 
•    Strong experience in production planning and control, scheduling, inventory management, and supply chain processes.
•    Experience using MRP II / Manufacturing Resource Planning systems.
•    Experience with project and team coordination. 
•    Lean Manufacturing experience highly valued.

Your qualifications

 

•    High School Diploma required. 
•    Additional education or certification in Planning, Operations, Manufacturing, and/or Supply Chain.

Salary to be determined by the applicant’s experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.

 

 

Compensation 

•    Salary Range: $70,000 - $79,000 CAD
•    Eligible for annual short-term incentive plan
