About the role
As an MMU Operator in Beenleigh, you will be responsible for operating equipment to safely deliver blasting products. Your role involves maintaining safety and environmental standards, building professional relationships, and ensuring customer satisfaction. You will work closely with team members and clients, participating in daily toolbox talks and monthly safety meetings.
The job offers an exciting and dynamic work environment, where you'll be actively engaged in various tasks such as equipment prestart compliance, basic repairs, handling explosives, and assisting with shot preparation. You'll have the opportunity to work in diverse conditions, often in hot, dusty environments on uneven ground within mine pits, which adds a unique challenge to your daily routine. Work Schedule: 5 on 2 Roster
You will be working on a 5 on 2 roster, meaning you will work for 5 consecutive days followed by 2 days off. This schedule is designed to provide a balance between work and rest, allowing you to have regular weekends off.

What you will be doing
- Operate MMU and ensure equipment prestart compliance.
- Perform basic fault finding, repair, and tyre changing.
- Handle explosives and assist with shot preparation.
- Measure holes, set up perimeter fencing, and stem holes.
- Maintain housekeeping standards and manage audit actions.
- Ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards.
What you will bring
- Experience in heavy industry, preferably mining.
- Knowledge of dangerous goods carriage and permit to work.
- Mechanical, auto electrical, fibre optic, and hydraulic aptitude.
- Valid driver's license and Coal Board Medical.
- Strong integrity, ethics, and personal values.
- Ability to work well in a team and adapt to new circumstances.
