About the role
Join Orica as a Sprint & Relief Team Operator, where safety, teamwork, and respect for the land and communities we work within are at the heart of everything we do.
These specialist teams are critical to our success, providing coverage for new site mobilisations, trials, projects, and leave relief across open-cut and underground mine sites. You’ll experience a variety of mine sites, commodities, and terrains while working alongside some of Orica’s most experienced blasting professionals.
Roles are based out of Perth on an 8/6 FIFO roster, with flexibility to work varying rosters throughout the year. All flights, travel, meals, and accommodation are covered while you work away.
What you will be doing
- Operate Orica’s advanced blasting vehicles such as Mobile Manufacturing Units (MMU) and Mobile Charging Units (MCU).
- Deliver explosive products safely into pre-drilled blast holes on open-cut and underground sites.
- Provide operational support and advice to client blast crews.
- Assist with preventative maintenance and hands-on site tasks.

What you will bring
- Previous experience in open-cut or underground charging.
- A current Heavy Rigid (HR) licence.
- Flexibility to work varying rosters and travel to different sites across WA,SA & NT.
- Ability to pass security checks and pre-employment medicals.
- A positive, team-focused attitude and strong work ethic.
- Basic mechanical understanding is helpful but not essential.
