About the Graduate Program – Digital Technology Implementation (WA)
Orica Digital Solutions is a specialized division within Orica focused on integrating digital technologies across the mining and civil infrastructure value chain.
Its mission is to seamlessly connect the physical and digital worlds to help customers make better, faster, and more informed decisions throughout their operations — from exploration to processing.
Opportunity: Graduate - Digital Technology Implementation
This role provides hands-on experience in implementing and supporting cutting-edge technologies like BlastIQ™ and FRAGTrack™ across surface and underground mining operations.
You’ll work closely with experienced digital specialists and field engineers to bring innovative solutions to life, helping customers improve their blasting operations through data-driven insights and automation.
You will have the unique opportunity to spend up to 50% of your time on-site at remote customer locations, where you’ll see our engineering solutions in action.
From rugged mine sites to cutting-edge field deployments, you’ll gain hands-on experience, build strong client relationships, and make a real impact—far beyond the office walls.
What you’ll be doing:
• Assist in the implementation and support of digital technologies on customer sites;
• Work side-by-side with digital specialists to scope, coordinate, and deliver technology projects tailored to customer needs;
• Deliver training and support to internal teams and customers, helping them effectively use digital tools and platforms;
• Travel to remote mining sites to install, test, and troubleshoot field equipment and ensure successful technology adoption.
What you will bring:
You’re studying or have recently completed a degree or certifications in:
• Cert III or IV in Electrotechnology
• Cert III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade or related disciplines
• Mining, Mechatronics, Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics Engineering
• Geological Engineering, Geoscience, or Project Management
• Willingness to travel regularly to remote customer sites (up to 50% of the time)
Graduation year: 2024 or 2025
Degree level: Trade Certified, Bachelor’s, Postgraduate, or Master’s
Location and Support
This role will be based in Perth, WA and involves travelling 50% of the time to remote customer areas.
