About the role


Orica is looking for a Storeperson that will play a key role in ensuring tools and components are efficiently received, unpacked, cleaned, inspected, tested, and prepared for shipment. This position is responsible for delivering accurate, clean, and fully functional kits that are ready for field deployment or customer use, while supporting maintenance, production, and logistics teams through well-organised stock management and high readiness standards. 

Full training and supervision are provided, and the role is based on-site at Orica’s Perth facility in Welshpool, working daily in a warehouse environment.

What you will be doing


This Storeperson role involves efficiently handling incoming tools, parts, and kits by receiving, unpacking, cleaning, and preparing items to meet quality and readiness standards. It includes assembling and packing equipment kits in line with instructions, performing basic checks to ensure functionality, and verifying that all required components are complete and accurately identified before dispatch.

In addition, the position supports logistics and inventory management by preparing items for shipment, maintaining accurate stock records, and completing all necessary documentation. A strong focus is placed on safety, housekeeping, and collaboration, with close coordination across maintenance, production, and logistics teams to ensure smooth and effective operations.

What you will bring

 

  • Basic secondary education or equivalent. 
  • Experience in storeroom, warehousing, logistics, or equipment handling is desirable but not essential. 
  • Ability to follow instructions, check details accurately, and handle tools and parts carefully.
  • Experience assembling or packing kits. (preference)
  • Familiarity with basic testing or inspection of tools or components. (preference)
  • Exposure to inventory systems or stock control processes. (preference)
