About the role
We are pleased to announce an opportunity for a talented Operator – MCU to join our team at the Aktogay Mine Site in Kazakhstan. In this role, you will support the coordination of production and delivery activities at the site, ensuring products are supplied to customers safely, efficiently, and on time.
You will play a key role in ensuring operations run smoothly and effectively, with a strong focus on minimising labour and raw material costs while maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and environmental responsibility. Strong collaboration with other departments is essential to the success of this role.
This is a remote site-based position, reporting directly to the Site Supervisor.

What you will be doing
- Comply with the requirements of Our Charter, as well as all operating procedures and standards.
- Ensure raw materials and dangerous goods are used, handled, and stored in accordance with Safety Data Sheet (SDS) requirements.
- Minimise environmental impact through effective waste management and responsible work practices.
- Actively participate in daily Toolbox Talks and Monthly Safety Meetings.
- Maintain all required personal training and competencies in line with the Orica Training Matrix for the role.
What you will bring
- A strong commitment to safety, health, and environmental standards in a high-risk operational environment.
- Experience working in production, mining, or industrial operations, preferably in remote or site-based roles.
- The ability to work effectively as part of a team and collaborate with multiple departments.
- Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to cost efficiency and operational excellence.
- A reliable, self-motivated mindset with the ability to work independently in a remote site setting.
