About the role

 

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Warehouse Specialist to join our team at Orica Yarwun Manufacturing Site. In this role, you will be responsible for managing a team to carryout daily warehousing and distribution operations to support our manufacturing sites.

 

Your primary focus will be on material management, ensuring efficient and effective warehousing practices, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.

What you will be doing

 

•    Leading a team of Warehouse Coordinator, setting priorities, and point of contact for specialist advice;
•    Conduct daily warehousing operations, including unloading/loading couriers, goods receipting, and issuing;
•    Manage inventory, perform stock takes, and ensure accurate material handling;
•    Maintain a safe working environment, adhering to safety protocols for dangerous goods and hazardous substances;
•    Provide exceptional customer service and liaise with internal and external stakeholders; and
•    Utilize SAP (S/4HANA) for inventory management and problem-solving, while leading and guiding subordinates to drive continuous improvement in warehousing and distribution processes.

What you will bring

 

•    Proven experience in warehousing operations, preferably in a manufacturing environment, preferably with a warehousing operations certificate but not required.
•    Strong understanding of inventory management and material handling.
•    Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to work effectively in a team and lead subordinates.
•    Proficiency in SAP (S/4HANA) or similar ERP systems.
•    Commitment to safety and continuous improvement.
