About the role
We are pleased to announce an opportunity for a Distribution Coordinator to join our Manufacturing team at Yarwun, Queensland.
In this role, you'll coordinate the safe, compliant, and efficient movement of products across domestic and export distribution networks, ensuring customers receive products on time and in full.
Working closely with manufacturing teams, logistics providers, shipping partners, and internal stakeholders, you'll play a key role in transport planning, inventory management, and distribution execution across road, rail, and port operations. This is an excellent opportunity for a logistics or supply chain professional looking to broaden their experience in a collaborative team environment while contributing to Orica's commitment to safety, operational excellence, and customer service.
What you will be doing
- Coordinate domestic and export deliveries to ensure products are delivered safely, compliantly, and on time;
- Manage transportation activities across road, rail, port, and warehouse operations while maintaining alignment to customer and shipping schedules;
- Prepare, review, and manage transport, shipping, and export documentation to support seamless operations;
- Monitor inventory levels, perform stock reconciliations, investigate discrepancies, and support stocktake activities;
- Process logistics transactions and maintain accurate shipment and inventory records using SAP and related systems;
- Build strong working relationships with manufacturing teams, logistics providers, shipping partners, and internal stakeholders to drive efficient outcomes;
- Champion a strong safety culture by ensuring compliance with transport, dangerous goods, environmental, and operational requirements.
What you will bring
- Experience in logistics, supply chain, transport scheduling, distribution, or a related operational environment;
- Strong planning, organisation, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to coordinate multiple priorities and delivery schedules;
- Knowledge of freight, warehousing, transport operations, export logistics, or shipping processes;
- Experience using SAP or similar enterprise systems, with SAP experience highly regarded;
- A proactive, safety-focused mindset with strong problem-solving skills and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer outcomes.
