About the role
Base location Blackwater site, however traveling is required to support both Blackwater and Red Chris locations
Rotation Schedule 14x14 (Lodging provided at the camp sites)

The MMU operator has day-to-day responsibilities for the delivery of Bulk Emulsion to the customer, general truck maintenance and servicing as required.
To create, support & lead a harmonious team and to deliver in a safe, efficient and environmentally conscious manner, a quality service for the manufacture and distribution of Bulk explosives to Orica customers. To recognise and report opportunities to grow or develop business relationships at the customer sites, and live by the Orica Charter.
What you will be doing
• SHE&S (Safety, Health, Environmental and Security) Charter reviewed and signed off.
• Participate in weekly Tool Box talks and Monthly Safety Meetings.
• Participate in weekly SH&E reports and mini audit.
• Respond to all safety snippets and alerts, ensuring 100% compliance for area.
• Conduct regular JSERA’s and keep records.
• Ensure all Change Notices and UIR’s are completed for respective job tasks.
• Conforming to all relevant storage and transport regulations
• Ensure plant and equipment is in good working order by regular inspection and maintenance. Maintain Redbook.
• Pro actively contribute to ensuring plant equipment maintenance is completed as required. Interaction with and management of contractors as required.
• All relevant inductions complete.
• Report to Site Manager all unsafe work conditions, accidents and loss of containment and promptly fill out UIR’s. Be proactive in the resolution of these issues.
• Ensure minimum damage to the environment through waste minimisation and control. Maintain environment Green Book.
• Ensure the required PPE is worn for respective tasks and jobs are carried out as per procedures.
• All emergency equipment and First aid kits should be periodically inspected and maintained.
• Participate in and encourage all safety initiatives eg Take 5.
• All employees trained and signed off the SH&E procedures.
• Pro active in the use of the company systems for management of SHE, eg SHERMIS.
• Attend and participate in Customer safety meetings as requested.
What you will bring
• Exposure to the mining and service environment a benefit.
• At least 2 years industry experience desirable.
• Minimum class 3 drivers licence, Class 1 license is preferred.
• Clean drivers abstract.

• Ability to work unsupervised and to ensure safe operation with uninterrupted production.

Physical requirements
- Loading & unloading delivery truck
- Must be able to lift/carry 45-50 lbs.and push/pull 50-250 lbs.in a safe manner.
- Must be able to perform frequent bending, twisting, kneeling and squatting
- Must be able to perform frequent reaching over the shoulder, waist level, and from the floor
- Ability to use a dolly and/ or power jack to deliver the product to customers while loading and unloading the truck with the product and adhering to all safety regulations
