About the role - InSAR Analyst Level I or II (Vancouver / Mount Pleasant BC)
We are looking for someone with two to five years of experience of InSAR analysis, including experience with different processing methods, the use of advanced algorithms, and a variety of InSAR applications. We will consider junior candidates who possess the fundamentals required for InSAR analysis, including experience with remotely sensed geospatial data and an awareness of InSAR and its various applications. Strong communication skills are an important asset, as the role includes client facing support, project management and proposal writing.
What you will be doing
• Process and analyse InSAR datasets for diverse monitoring projects
• Provide support to clients remotely and in person
• Support business development by preparing and leading demonstrations, and meeting with clients
• For Analyst II: Manage InSAR projects and provide support to more junior InSAR Analysts.
What you will bring
• Experience using command line interfaces, ideally Linux-based
• Experience educating and communicating with clients (written, visual and verbal)
• Proficiency in manipulating GIS data and using GIS platforms
• Experience with scripting, especially in Bash and/or Python or similar
Role dimensions
This is a full-time, permanent position. Applicants should expect to work around one in every six weekends, for time in lieu. Travel outside of Canada may be required one to three times a year.
Your qualifications
• Education: Bachelor's degree in Earth science, remote sensing, physics or electrical engineering.
• Language skills are considered an excellent bonus, especially native Portuguese and/or Spanish.
Requirements by Level:
• Analyst II: Two to five years of experience processing InSAR and/or managing InSAR projects is essential. Candidates must understand different InSAR processing methods and various InSAR signals/sources.
• Analyst I: Experience with remotely sensed geospatial data and an awareness of InSAR. Previous InSAR processing experience is an asset but not essential.

Compensation
• Salary Range $64,000 - $85,000 CAD
• Eligible for annual short-term incentive plan
(Salary to be determined by the applicant’s experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.)
