About the Role - InSAR Analyst II (Mount Pleasant / Vancouver BC)
Orica / 3vGeomatics is seeking for an individual with two to five years of experience of InSAR analysis, including experience with different processing methods, the use of advanced algorithms, and a variety of InSAR applications. Strong communication skills are also an important asset, as the role includes client-facing support, project management and proposal writing.

(3vG) is looking to grow our Interferometric Synthetic Aperture Radar (InSAR) operations team.
3v Geomatics (www.3vGeomatics.com) is a fast-growing tech company based in Vancouver, British Columbia. 3vG uses remotely sensed radar data to detect and measure changes on the Earth's surface. Using mainly in-house software and processing algorithms, 3vG monitors infrastructure and ground displacement with high precision and reliability using satellite-based Interferometric Synthetic Aperture Radar (InSAR). We strive to use our products to make a positive impact on people around the world.
Our applications are diverse and include monitoring landslides, mining activity, pipeline integrity, and permafrost degradation. Using satellite data, we are able to measure millimetre-scale displacement from the thermal expansion of bridges, sinking dykes, and uplifting oil reservoirs. We are constantly updating and refining our image processing tools, analysis techniques, and products. 3vG places an emphasis on processing precision, speed and having a robust technical solution to extract the most relevant information from every dataset.
We need the best people to implement and improve our technology. Each of our applications has unique issues, and we require all of our staff to have strong problem-solving skills.
What you will be doing
● Process and analyze InSAR datasets for diverse monitoring projects
● Managing InSAR projects for a diverse set of applications
● Provide support to clients remotely and in person
● Support business development through proposals, preparing and leading demonstrations, and meeting with clients
● Provide support to more junior InSAR Analysts
What you will bring
● Two to five years of experience processing InSAR and/or managing InSAR projects are essential. Successful candidates will join a focused technical team and will have most of the following skills:
● Experience processing and analyzing InSAR data
● Understand a number of different InSAR processing methods
● Understand the various InSAR signals and their sources, including how they are modelled, filtered or preserved.
● Experience using command line interfaces for processing InSAR, ideally Linux-based
● Experience educating and communicating with clients (written, visual and verbal)
● Proficiency in manipulating GIS data and using GIS platforms
● Experience with scripting, especially in Bash and/or Python similar
Language skills are considered an excellent bonus, especially native Portuguese and/or Spanish.
Role dimensions
- This is a full-time, permanent position. Applicants should expect to work around one in every six weekends, for time in lieu. Travel outside of Canada may be required one to three times a year.
- Work Location: Hybrid remote in Vancouver, BC V5Y 0M6. Employees are expected to work from the office two or more days a week.

Compensation Range
- Full Time Salary $68,900 - 103,300 DOE
- Eligible for annual short-term incentive plan
(Salary to be determined by the applicant’s experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.)
