About The Role – Event Management Coordinator (Vancouver / Mount Pleasant BC)
We are excited to announce a new opportunity for a Coordinator – Marketing within our Digital Solutions team. This position plays a central role in delivering high-quality, customer-facing events and marketing support across Orica Digital Solutions’ Geosolutions portfolio. As the primary owner of event coordination and marketing logistics, this role sits at the centre of how Geosolutions shows up to customers, partners, and markets worldwide.
This role ensures the seamless planning, coordination, and execution of global tradeshows, conferences, and industry events that elevate our brands, support our commercial teams, and strengthen our market presence. The Marketing Coordinator will also support broader marketing activities to help drive impactful campaigns and content delivery across the portfolio.
What you will be doing
Event Strategy, Planning & Execution
• End-to-end coordination of tradeshows, conferences, user groups, and other customer-facing events across global markets
• Liaise with internal stakeholders (Marketing, Sales, Brand Leads, Product Development) to gather event objectives, requirements, briefs, and deliverables
• Manage logistics including sponsorships, registrations, booth design and build, merchandise, freight, travel/accommodation coordination, and on-the-day event support
• Ensure consistent brand representation across all Geosolutions product brands across all events and regions
• Capture, organise, and track event leads in partnership with the Marketing and Sales teams, ensuring hand-offs into Salesforce or appropriate CRM flows
Memberships, Sponsorships & Industry Associations
• Coordinate annual memberships, sponsorships, and partner programs
Budget & Reporting
• Oversee event budgets, supplier quotes, purchase orders, and post-event reconciliation
• Track event performance, ROI, and post-event reporting for internal stakeholders, in pursuit of continuous improvement
Marketing & Campaign Support
• Support the development and execution of event-related content and campaigns, including social posts, blogs, email comms, and other promotional assets
• Collaborate with Orica’s internal graphic design team to deliver professional, on-brand collateral and graphics
• Assist with general marketing activities across the broader Geosolutions portfolio as required
Marketing Team & Operational Support
• Provide administrative and coordination support to the Geosolutions Marketing team
• Contribute to process improvement and best-practice workflows for events and marketing operations
Primary outputs of the role:
• Zero incidents and injuries
• Smooth planning, organisation, and execution of all assigned events with Professional preparation of event logistics, materials, and documentation
• Responsible for managing budgets, quotes, and supplier interactions
• Proactive management of memberships, sponsorships, and associated deliverables
• Successfully deliver the goals and projects defined in the Geosolutions Marketing Team’s Key Initiatives FY2026, on time, to scope and on budget
• Work well with little supervision
• Works well coordinating with a broad range of internal stakeholders across marketing, regional sales, product development, as well as external organisers and suppliers

• Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally across global teams

• Familiarity with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce), marketing platforms, or project management tools

Role dimensions
• Full Time Salaried position
• Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, 3 days in office / 2 days remote
• Daily Schedule: 8am – 5pm Pacific time
• Travel: 0-5%
• Reports to Marketing Specialist
Your qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification in Marketing, Communications, and Event Management
• 3+ years of experience in a similar role

Compensation
• Salary Range $85,000 CAD
• Eligible for annual short-term incentive plan
(Salary to be determined by the applicant’s experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.)
