About the role


We are excited to invite applications for the position of Plant Supervisor to lead our on-site team at the Ulan Amex and Gasser manufacturing plant near Mudgee, NSW.

In this role, you will oversee the team's performance and manage plant and ancillary equipment in line with our service level agreements, corporate policies, and regulatory standards. Additionally, you will ensure the implementation of Orica's Safety, Health, Environment, and Security (SHES) requirements.

The roster for this position is 5/2, Monday to Friday.

What you will be doing

 

  • Lead and motivate the onsite team to ensure the safe and efficient manufacturing of explosive products and precursors.
  • Provide analytical and decision support to the Territory Manager for continuous improvement planning aimed at reducing operational costs.
  • Recruit, train, and retain employees.
  • Schedule the onsite team’s daily activities to meet customer requirements and ensure proper site management, including raw material ordering and preventative maintenance.
  • Manage EPA and other regulatory compliance and reporting associated with the manufacturing facility.

  • A current NSW Security Clearance or the ability to obtain and maintain this license during employment.
