About the role

We’re excited to invite applications for a Plant Operator role at our Ulan Amex and Gasser manufacturing facility near Mudgee, NSW.

In this role, you’ll contribute to the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of our plant, helping us meet production and delivery commitments while maintaining high safety and environmental standards.

What you will be doing

• Support the safe manufacturing of ANFO and Gasser products to meet customer and operational needs;
• Carry out quality checks on raw materials and finished products;
• Help maintain plant equipment and delivery vehicles to ensure reliability;
• Prepare accurate delivery documentation for customers;
• Assist with receiving, storing, and handling raw materials correctly;
• Keep work areas and vehicles clean and well-presented;
• Participate in pre-starts, toolbox talks, and safety activities;
• Work closely with the team to meet production and safety targets.

What you will bring

We’re looking for people with the right skills, mindset, and willingness to learn, experience in explosives or manufacturing is helpful, but not required.

Core skills and attributes:
- A strong commitment to safety and following procedures;
- Basic mechanical aptitude (e.g., familiarity with tools, equipment, or machinery);
- Ability to learn technical processes, including quality checks and equipment operation;
- Good attention to detail and accuracy (e.g., documentation, checks, measurements);
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing situations;
- Reliability and accountability in completing tasks;
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
- Clear communication and a customer-focused mindset.
