Senior Engineer - Geotechnical

Global Practice Lead, Geotechnical Advisory, GroundProbe North America LLC, Tucson, AZ. Contribute to regional business development by providing technical support for technology selection through data analysis and reporting. Ensure optimal use of GroundProbe’s systems by gathering feedback from customers for product development. Provide broad customer validated input for new product developments, including hardware and software functionality. Train clients and staff on the use of GroundProbe’s technologies. Support technology development and improvement in the geotechnical field. Manage product installation and provide backup support. Contribute to industry-wide adoption of GroundProbe’s products and services by publishing technical papers and presenting case studies. Support regional sales team by providing training on GroundProbe products, including radar and laser products. Mentor junior geotechnical engineers. Play a key role in building relationship with new and existing customers.

40 hrs/week, Mon-Fri, 8:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. 
 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: 

Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent degree, in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Mining or a related field, and five (5) years of post-bachelor, progressive, related work experience.

Must have five (5) years of experience with/in:

•    Gathering feedback for new product development; 
•    Providing on-site support to Technology Implementation Projects; 
•    Assisting the technology team via technical expertise, training, and sharing ongoing customer feedback; 
•    An open cut mining environment with exposure to radar and other geotechnical monitoring methods;
•    Providing technical advice to clients on usage of the technology;
•    Applying technical expertise in product development, testing, and validation of software and hardware; 
•    Liaising with technical support staff regarding technical issues; and
•    Performing data interpretation with focus on advancing new product.

45% international travel is required. 

Telecommuting permitted on a hybrid schedule as determined by the employer.
