About The Role – Assembly Technician (Tucson, AZ)

 

We are excited to announce a new opportunity for an Assembly Technician within our Digital Solutions team.

 

As an Assembly Technician in our Digital Solutions team, you will play a critical role in assembling, inspecting, and repairing high-precision monitoring equipment used in mining operations. Your attention to detail and commitment to safety will ensure our products meet the highest standards for accuracy and reliability.

What you will be doing

 

  • Safety First: Always work safely and encourage a culture of safety among colleagues. Comply with all workplace health and safety (WHS) policies and procedures.
  • Assembly & Production: Accurately assemble and prepare GroundProbe/Orica Digital Solutions components and systems for shipment, following detailed production standards.
  • Testing & Quality: Conduct formal testing, commissioning, and sign-off processes, ensuring all documentation is complete and accurate.
  • Continuous Improvement: Participate in process improvement discussions and provide feedback to enhance product quality and production efficiency.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with Senior Assembly Technicians to learn best practices and support process improvements.

What you will bring

 

  • Experience: 3+ years in a production or assembly environment, preferably with electronic or mechanical components.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient with hand tools and small power tools; able to follow technical instructions and quality standards.
  • Physical Requirements: Able to move around the workspace, climb, and carry components; comfortable working in a warehouse and outdoors for unit testing.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Work Ethic: Reliable, detail-oriented, and committed to producing high-quality work
  • Location: Must be able to work onsite in Tucson, AZ, five days a week.
