About the role - Assembly Technician (Tucson AZ)
We are extremely excited to announce a new permanent and stable opportunity of Assembly Technician within the GroundProbe / Orica Digital Solutions team.
The Assembly Technician is a key member of the Production team. The role is part of the production process to assemble GroundProbe/Orica Digital Solutions components and systems for domestic and international deployment. The position is responsible to inspect, report and repair component parts for return to the inventory system. The Technician ensures that GroundProbe/ODS’s products perform safety critical monitoring in mines and high levels of accuracy and quality are key to this role.
What you will be doing
Work safely, and regarding the safety of others, including:
• Comply with all WHS policies and procedures;
• Identify and eliminate hazards in the workplace;
• Actively work to improve safety performance.
Complete Production Assembly tasks and activities relating to the GroundProbe range of products.
Production:
• Complete all assigned production related tasks, safely, accurately, efficiently with a focus of quality. These tasks are to be completed in accordance with the production standards presented by the Company.
• Complete equipment shipment preparation tasks as directed.
• Be prepared to suggest and or participate in continuous improvement and process enhancement team discussions.
• Complete the formal testing and sign off processes accurately and diligently.
• Provide feedback to the Product Management Team on production suitability of a product or process.
Apply the production aspects of the testing and commissioning process of our products:
• In detail complete the assigned testing and commissioning process as directed.
• Complete in detail the required documentation required of the process.
• Discuss with the Senior Assembly Technician the results on sign off.
• Recommend improvements in the process or the processes application.
All assembly Technicians are to understudy the Senior Assembly Technician in order to:
• Assist in process, procedural improvement.
• Have a working knowledge of the production cycle.
• Be prepared to assist in the process as directed.
What you will bring
- 3+ Years production experience
- Ability to read, understand, and follow schematics, technical drawings and procedural instructions
- Experience troubleshooting electronic and testing failures to identify needed realignment
- Experience working with hand tools and small power tools
- Ability to physically move around work space including climbing and carrying components
- Ability to work in manufacturing warehouse and outside in all kinds of weather for unit testing
