About the role
The primary purpose of this role is to ensure Contract Delivery on existing accounts in Namibia; ensure business growth organically and inorganically; and manage Operations Execution. You will be responsible for managing all key stakeholders including local employees, regulatory bodies as well as existing and potential customers in Namibia.
Accountable for the safe and effective delivery of in-field operations; DIFOT to customer; CFC and debtor compliance; day-to-day contract execution and variation management; owns local and site customer interface and relationships and provides key demand & market feedback to the business.
What you will be doing
Sales, Marketing and Commercial Management:
Responsible for bid tender preparation & negotiation and contract finalization for site.
Actively identify & conversion of Business Development opportunities for differentiation.
Ensure monthly customer demand forecasting is conducted.
Coordinate and attend face-to-face BRAD customer meetings.
Ensure customers’ needs identification and execution of solution.
Responsible for contract management (invoicing & rise & fall implementation).
Ensure CFC / CAPEX controls are in place and expenditure is in line with budgets.
Working with the Credit and Collection team to ensure customers.
Operations and People Management:
Lead and manage workforce in Namibia.
Manage assets through their life cycle, including sustenance capital spend and replacement planning.
Implement plans to ensure the maximum utilization, availability and security of business assets in Namibia.
Ensure that a motivated, skilled, competent and appropriately trained team is in place to deliver business needs now and into the future.
Ensure that succession and development plans are in place for key roles and personnel, and that performance management processes are being utilized in-country.
Ensure permits and licenses are all up to date.
Manage regulatory and governmental relationships in Namibia.
What you will bring
Qualifications:
Diploma/ degree in mining engineering, marketing, engineering
Experience:
Minimum of 5-7 years’ experience in commercial manager/ business development/ sales with hands on experience in finance preferably within the mining, explosives, or heavy industrial sector.
Demonstrated experience in contract negotiation, financial modeling, and commercial strategy development.
Core Competencies:
Strong financial acumen with the ability to interpret complex financial data and drive profitability.
Advanced analytical skills to assess large datasets, identify trends, and make data-driven recommendations.
Commercial and contractual expertise, including the ability to manage and optimize customer contracts and supplier agreements.
Proven ability to develop, lead, and implement new business processes and commercial initiatives.
Experience conducting detailed audits and compliance reviews, with a focus on risk mitigation and operational efficiency.
