About the role

We are delighted to announce that we are currently seeking applications for the role of On-Bench Supervisor to join our Blackwater Team.

At Orica, we’re offering an exciting opportunity for passionate leaders to step into the role of Supervisor – On Bench, working on an even-time roster of 7 days on, 7 days off. This role is ideal for those who thrive in dynamic environments and are ready to build strong client relationships while leading a skilled team of Shotfirers, MMU Operators, and Blast Assistants. You’ll play a key role in client engagement, safety planning, and incident investigations, all while fostering a culture of excellence and care.

What you will be doing

• You will provide analytical/decision support to area manager on continuous improvement plan;
• You will be managing logistics of raw material to site;
• Live and breathe Orica’s safety values at all times;
• To ensure operational process meets Orica standards and customer's expectations.

What you will bring

• At least 3+ years proven experience in an operational leadership role;
• Strong people leadership and management skills;
• Knowledge of the Drill & Blast process in an open cut mine;
• You have the experience working within or leading a mine or quarry site blast crew;
• A Current Shotfirer License;
• A Current and valid Heavy Rigid driving license (preferred);
• Intermediate computing skills.
