About the role

 

We’re thrilled to share that we are currently seeking a Specialist – Planning to join our team. This role is key to delivering exceptional customer service by seamlessly integrating sourcing, manufacturing, and operations.

 

The Specialist will be responsible for ensuring that site-specific requirements are met efficiently, on time, and at minimal cost. By proactively interpreting demand signals, the role supports agile decision-making and contributes to a resilient and responsive supply chain.This position is based at the Orica Office in Almaty, Kazakhstan.

What you will be doing

 

  • Interpret and manage site level demand forecast, identifying and addressing month-on-month variances to ensure accurate planning;
  • Execute long-term planning activities in alignment with the S&OP calendar, including safety stock calculation, supply planning prioritization across echelons, inventory planning and inventory value projections using Integrated Business Planning (IBP) and tools;
  • Support manufacturing planning through the Rought Cut Planning (RCCP), ensuring alignment between demand and production capabilities;
  • Conduct analysis to prevent slow-and obsolete - moving inventory (SLOB) from a long-term planning perspective, ensuring master data integrity and that any supply of SLOB materials is strategically justified;
  • Maintain and correct material master data to enable robust and reliable long-term planning within the IBP system;
  • Act as a link between market-facing teams and production, ensuring alignment between marketplace activities and manufacturing priorities;
  • Manage demand-supply imbalances by facilitating effective load prioritization in collaboration with all relevant stakeholders.

 



What you will bring

 

  • Degree-level qualification in logistics, supply chain management, economics, or technical field;
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in planning or logistics, preferably in industrial or mining sectors;
  • Solid understanding of MRP principles, inventory management, and logistics processes;
  • Proficiency in Excel and ERP systems (SAP, 1C, etc.);
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and collaborative mindset.
