About the role

Geosolutions is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Manager (Representative - Sales) to drive the growth of our Mining and Infrastructure business in Chile and Brazil. The successful candidate will drive revenue growth, lead, pursuit, and execute business development opportunities and market‑specific strategies, with a strong focus on enhance brand visibility and expand the presence of RST Instruments, Measurand, and NavStar brands and technologies in LATAM.

This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic professional who will play a pivotal role in advancing our regional footprint by leveraging cutting‑edge geotechnical and structural monitoring solutions, along with Orica’s broader innovation ecosystem. The ideal candidate will bring a strong network within the mining and infrastructure sectors, and a results‑driven approach that balances commercial success with exceptional customer experience.

As a key member of the commercial business development team, the BDM will cultivate and strengthen relationships with leading mining companies, drive sales growth, and position Geosolutions’ technologies as industry‑leading solutions. Serving as the primary liaison between Geosolutions and the geotechnical monitoring industry in Latin America, this role will ensure our offerings remain aligned with the evolving needs of the sector.

What you will be doing

  • Develop, implement, and execute the sales strategy that aligns with overall business objectives and Orica’s core values to increase market share and drive sustainable profitable growth within the assigned portfolio.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders in the mining and infrastructure sectors, including engineering firms in Chile and Brazil.
  • Research industry trends and identify new business expansion opportunities.
  • Source and qualifying new leads to prospective sales opportunities.
  • Travel to project sites and customer offices to build, maintain, and strengthen customers relationships with key and new customers.
  • This position requires willingness travel to customers offices and mine sites (estimated 30-50%) within Chile and Brazil to understand customer challenges and instrument installations.
  • Build and nurture strong relationships with engineering and consulting firms to drive Geosolutions product specification and integration into project designs.
  • Deliver compelling presentations that highlight the value proposition of Geosolutions' technologies and integrated end-to-end solutions to all levels of the customer organization.
  • Prepare and present technical and commercial proposals to customers.
  • Track and maintain effective, professional communication with all internal and external stakeholders throughout the business development and sales cycle.
  • Manage the entire sales cycle from prospecting to closing deals.
  • Consistently utilize CRM (Salesforce) for documenting customer correspondence and follow-up activities.
  • Attend and represent the company at industry exhibitions and conferences and network with professional organizations to strengthen brand presence and enhance Geosolutions reputation.
  • Proven customer service experience with a demonstrated ability to build rapport and manage relationships with existing and new customers.
  • Strong written and verbal communication, negotiation, and presentation skills for proposing, presenting, and discussing solutions with all levels of the organization.
  • Resourceful, self-managed, self-motivated and goal-driven, able to work effectively within a global team.
  • Detailed-oriented, organized and customer-focused.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Travel expectations range from 30% to 50%, depending on business needs.

What you will bring

  • Engineering degree in Civil, Mining, or Geotechnical Engineering; MBA or equivalent qualification preferred.
  • Proficiency in English, Spanish, and Portuguese (desirable but not mandatory), with strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • 3–5 years of demonstrated success in business development or commercial roles, including technical sales or account management within the mining or infrastructure sectors; experience in geotechnical monitoring is an asset
