About the role

Join the Orica Metals West Asset & Maintenance Team as a Fitter, supporting mobile and fixed plant maintenance across Orica sites in South Australia.

Working on a variety of rosters including 8/6, 14/14, or 14/7, you'll provide maintenance and technical support while working closely with the Senior Site Supervisor and Asset Team.

What you will be doing

 

  • Service and repair mobile and fixed plant equipment.
  • Provide maintenance support to site operations.
  • Manage spare parts, vendor relationships, and equipment performance.
  • Drive continuous improvement and maintenance planning.
  • Maintain asset records and conduct compliance audits.
  • Move across Orica sites to perform preventative maintenance and support equipment repairs.

 

What you will bring

 

  • Electrical or Mechanical trade qualification (Essential)
  • Dual trade with Auto-Electrical (Desirable)
  • 3 + post trade experience in similar role within the heavy industry or mining sector
  • Heavy Rigid driving license is advantageous but not essential
  • Trainer and Assessor Certificate (Desirable)
  • Previous exposure to work permits
