About the role
We are excited to announce an opportunity for the position of Talent Acquisition Specialist to join our incredible EMEA Team, based in Sandton, Johannesburg (Hybrid).
As our Talent Acquisition Specialist, you will be responsible for sourcing and guiding candidates through the entire recruitment process, ensuring a personalized experience for candidates and a seamless process for hiring managers across Africa, with occasional support in other parts of EMEA and being a part of a global TA team.
You will collaborate closely with our EMEA-based Talent & Sourcing teams, specializing in comprehensive recruitment (360 degrees) for both White and Blue collar roles throughout Africa. The ideal candidate will possess a good understanding of the African recruitment market and will receive thorough training, ongoing support, a competitive salary, and an annual bonus.

What you will be doing
Manage end-to-end recruitment and developing and applying sourcing strategies to meet the current and future needs of the business.
Proactively build pipelines and manage passive candidates in critical talent segments.
Create engaging content about the company culture, work environment, and employee experiences.
Keep up-to-date with the latest trends in employer branding and make recommendations for improvement.
Manage all steps of the talent acquisition process including attraction, sourcing, screening, selection, and assessment.
Provide advice on sourcing and candidate attraction strategies, partnering with HR Business Partners and business leaders.
Partner closely with HR Business Partners (HRBPs) and business leaders to manage current and future business needs, forming an effective strategic sourcing method.
Support and advise business stakeholders on the assessment & selection framework, encouraging equitable hiring decisions.
Execute targeted campaigns and projects in response to business needs.
Focusing hiring strategies around diversity and inclusion, ensuring we remove unconscious bias from our hiring process.
Use data to forecast future hiring needs and trends, enabling proactive recruitment strategies.
What you will bring
Minimum 7- 10 years’ experience in strategic & internal talent acquisition.
2-3 years agency recruitment will be an added advantage.
Experience in recruiting in Mining and Engineering business will be highly advantageous.
Employer branding and effective communication & negotiation skills.
Ability to analyze and interpret recruitment metrics to fully optimize and recommend an improve processes.
Understanding of various sourcing strategies, including social media, industry networks, and partnerships.
Managing multiple recruitment campaigns and tasks simultaneously with the ability to plan, influence & execute.
Familiarity with employment laws and regulations.
Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with candidates and stakeholders.
Interpersonal Skills: Building and maintaining relationships with candidates, hiring managers, and other stakeholders.
Cultural Awareness: Understanding of the local job market and cultural nuances in different African countries can be beneficial.
Experience in leading projects, including building a collaborative approach across the global Orica network. Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships with a range of stakeholders.
Strong strategic and commercial acumen supported by sound commercial judgement.
Strong written and verbal communication skills to present strategic logic and recommended pathways, coupled with the ability to present to key stakeholders.
