About the role

 

Step into the role of Performance & Reward Specialist at Orica and become a key driver in shaping how we recognize and reward our people! As a specialist in our Regional Performance & Reward team, you’ll dive deep into designing, analysing, and implementing innovative reward solutions that help us attract, motivate, and retain top talent.

 

You’ll work closely with business leaders and HR partners to ensure our frameworks and policies are not only competitive but also inspire our employees to achieve their best. We are considering candidates located in either Johannesburg, South Africa, or Lisbon, Portugal

 

What you will be doing

 

The EMEA Benefits Specialist is accountable for providing support to all aspects of health and wellbeing programs in support of our EMEA employee population. Specific responsibilities include:

 

Support the management of EMEA benefits and rollout of new schemes and enhancements as needed.

 

Mapping out all salaries and cash allowances and benchmark as needed.

 

Review and maintain salary ranges by country to ensure Orica stay competitive.

 

Support the annual year end process, including salary reviews and bonus payments.

 

Work closely with program vendors to drive efficiencies across programs, processes and activities.

 

Partner with EMEA HR team on initiatives that support the wellbeing of our workforce.

 

Manage and deliver on-time reporting, contributions and related activities to ensure compliance with vendor agreements and regulatory requirements.

 

Collaborate with others as needed to implement and drive current and future programs.

 

Active involvement with key vendor partners to ensure compliance with EMEA benefit requirements and regulations.

 

Champion opportunities and initiatives that lead to improved efficiencies, effectiveness, and cost savings related to employee benefit programs. 

 

What you will bring

 

Relevant university degree in Human Resources, Business or commercial qualification.

 

5+ years of Benefits experience with exposure to multiple countries required.

 

Experience in implementing process improvement initiatives would be desirable.

 

Experience with insurances, pension plans, Employee Assistance Programs and service awards.

 

Demonstrated skills associated with building strong vendor and customer relationships.

 

Proficiency in data analysis and reporting using HRIS systems (e.g., SAP) and Microsoft Excel.

 

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.

 

Analytical mindset with a keen attention to detail and the ability to translate data into actionable insights.

 

Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop and execute innovative performance and reward strategies.
