About the role

The Lead - Asset Support leads management and maintenance of the mobile fleet and equipment in region to deliver sustainable revenue through the safe and efficient delivery and allocation of vehicles, equipment and plant.

What you will be doing

Key Accountabilities

 

 Drives Fleet & Asset Management

· Capital Projects – Business Case & Project Ownership

· Capital Project – Project Delivery

· Comply with Management of Change - AA Approver.

· Purchase Order Management

· Operational Excellence Scorecard Reporting

· Compliance to Maintenance Management plans for all Assets on site

· Management of Team Rosters & Leave

· Ensure all Operational Equipment has been Hazard Studied

· Field Measurement System Support

· Safety Execution & Leadership.

· Operational Safety Governance

· Capital Management & Optimisation

· Statutory Licencing – Mobile Fleet

 

 

What you will bring

 

  • Minimum 8 years experience post professional qualification, including 5 years of direct people management experience.

 

  •  Proven ability to lead a team, including building a collaborative approach in the development of the direction and operations of the workstream.

 

  •  Proven influencer, able to manage processes across multiple stakeholder groups.

 

  •  Experience in implementing process improvement initiatives would be desirable.

 

  •  Demonstrated skills associated with building strong vendor &/or customer relationships.

 

  • Financial accumen & budgeting experience.

 

  • Competencies and Qualification:

 

  • 8yrs+ relevant experience in: 

         Asset management  

         Maintenance management 

         Fleet management 

 

  • Trades Certificate III in Automotive Mechanical Technology (Heavy Vehicle Road Transport) or Tradesman with relevant experience.

 

  • Experience in Explosives plant or dangerous goods Engineering/Maintenance environment ·

 

  • Personal management and leadership skills and experience ·

Travel requirements:
Involves regular travel across the Africa region to support operational needs.
