About the role
We’re looking for a collaborative and forward-thinking Manager – Human Resources Business Partnering to join our AusPac team at Orica’s iconic Kurri Kurri Technical Centre close to Newcastle, NSW. This is a game-changing opportunity to make a real impact by supporting our Blasting Solutions Division and helping shape the future of our workforce.
Your portfolio will span a diverse group, including a large blue-collar workforce, engineering teams, and commercial and operational leaders—giving you the chance to influence across multiple disciplines. In this role, you’ll work closely with leaders and teams to deliver practical, strategic HR solutions. You’ll also play an important part in advancing our Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) commitments—creating a workplace that values different perspectives, cultural heritage, and community connections.
You’ll partner with our internal ER Manager for guidance on employee relations and Enterprise Agreements, and collaborate across the business to bring people strategies to life. We offer a hybrid working model to support flexibility, sociable working hours, less than 25% travel, and a healthy remuneration package with annual bonus.
What you will be doing
- Working with senior leaders to develop people plans that align with business goals;
- Providing practical HR advice and coaching on workforce planning, talent management, and organisational effectiveness;
- Leading initiatives that strengthen diversity and inclusion, including programs that celebrate cultural heritage and community;
- Collaborating with Centres of Excellence to deliver solutions across performance, talent, organisational development, learning, and performance & rewards;
- Supporting complex employee relations matters with guidance from the ER Manager; and
- Using data and insights to improve outcomes for our people.
What you will bring
- Tertiary qualification in Human Resources or related field;
- Experience in HR business partnering;
- A proactive, hands-on approach with confidence to make decisions;
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills;
- Ability to engage effectively with senior stakeholders; and
- A genuine commitment to creating an inclusive workplace where everyone can thrive.
