About the role
We are inviting applications for a Business Analyst (12-month contract) to join Orica Digital Solutions Team. We’re looking for a proactive, forward-thinking professional with a can-do mindset who thrives in collaborative environments. In this role, you’ll work closely with our product and development teams to solve real customer challenges and deliver high-quality software solutions that create meaningful impact.
What you will be doing
The role ensures Orica’s suite of technologies are introduced and represented professionally in the mining industry. The role includes the following responsibilities:
- Working directly with the Senior Product Manager to ensure key tasks are performed efficiently, with quality and on time.
- Collecting, visualising, and validating requirements to drive product development through customer/user engagement, surveys, and usage analysis.
- Working directly with software engineers, and UXUI designers to help define scope and requirements for product development.
- Software quality control and documentation.
- Documentation standard maintenance.
- Collate and triage feedback from stakeholders and ensures product improvements according to the obtained data.
- Co-ordinate and contribute to development activities such as Scrum ceremonials.
- Market and product insights analysis.
- Product training and demonstrations.
- Project management of various workstreams required for the overall program, as required.
What you will bring
- Agile product development experience with a strong understanding of Scrum and modern product lifecycle practices
- Proven capability across data, models, and modern applications
- Strong communication, presentation, and technical writing skills
- Solid project and stakeholder management experience
- 3+ years in digital solutions/software development (required)
- Hands-on with Jira, Confluence, Zendesk, FigJam, SQL, Power BI, and Azure Application Insights
- Exposure to 3D CAD or spatial applications (highly desirable)
- Background in the mining industry (nice-to-have)
