About the role

 

Start your career with Orica as a Trainee Plant Operator in Railton.

 

You will join a supportive and diverse manufacturing team where everyone’s contribution is valued. Under the guidance of experienced supervisors and operators, you will learn to operate plant equipment and play a vital role in producing quality products safely and efficiently. You will be involved in all aspects of plant operations, including equipment handling, safety, environmental care, and quality control.

What you will be doing

 

  • Learn to operate plant equipment and assist in the safe, efficient production of quality products;
  • Carry out regular inspections, housekeeping, and basic maintenance of plant and equipment;
  • Participate actively in safety meetings, toolbox talks, and Orica’s Mining Services safety program;
  • Support quality control by performing checks on raw materials and finished products;
  • Assist with stocktaking, record-keeping, and ensuring all materials are correctly labeled and stored.

  • An interest in manufacturing or process plant operations (mechanical aptitude or experience is a plus, but not required).
