About the role

 

The Supervisor – People Advisory leads the People Advisory team in delivering consistent, high-quality Tier 2A HR support to Orica employees globally. Acting as a Subject Matter Expert (SME), the role supports day-to-day service delivery while providing expert guidance on employee relations, salary recommendations, HR policy interpretation, and advanced reporting. It also oversees cyclical HR activities, ensuring timely and accurate support aligned with business needs.

What you will be doing

 

  • Supervises the daily activities of the People Advisory team within specific processes and/or in-scope countries. Provides coaching, guidance, and support to ensure consistent and effective service delivery.
  • Promote efficient and effective delivery of People Advisory services and projects. Act as the primary point of escalation for Tier 2A support or requests.  
  • Prepare and conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for issues encountered, classifies causes (e.g. business dependencies, vs. errors) and suggest preventive action plan and process improvement.
  • Provides advice and guidance to People Advisors and Line Managers on low-complexity employee relations matters, including performance management and disciplinary actions.
  • Reviews remuneration analyses to ensure alignment with market benchmarks and internal equity, as needed.
  • Assist in the delivery of key cyclical People Advisory scope i.e. Year End Performance Review, Talent and Succession Planning, Aged Vacancy Report, Global P&R Support etc.
  • Participate in team and company-initiated project as required, contributing subject matter expertise and operational insights.
  • Supports the Lead – People Advisory in fostering a customer-first mindset, ensuring team competence, and driving continuous development to maintain high service quality. Identifies opportunities to expand the People Advisory scope and optimize service delivery.

What you will bring

 

  • Proficiency in conversational English language both written and verbal.
  • At least 3–4 years of experience in an HR Business Partner or HR Business Partner Supervisor role, with exposure to operational HR functions.
  • Proven ability to engage and manage stakeholders across various levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrated experience in coaching and leading teams, ideally within a shared services or advisory environment.
  • Proficiency in HR systems such as SuccessFactors, and familiarity with global HR frameworks is highly desirable.
  • Experience supporting the EMEA, LATAM, and North America regions is highly preferred.
  • Willingness to work in a shifting schedule, including Philippine holidays, is required.
