About the role

 

As a Specialist - Supply Chain Governance & Improvement, you will be supporting the design, implementation and governance of SAP S/4 HANA and it's related applications and processes, with respect to Orica's Supply Chain.  Specifically, you will be supporting the Planning to Inventory function with focus on strategic and long term planning enabled by SAP Integrated Business Planning (IBP).

What you will be doing

 

  • Provides subject matter expertise on planning processes (both long term and short term).  This includes review of issues raised by stakeholders, providing insights and recommendations for resolution.
  • Provides support on change requests.  This includes the review of solutions presented by IT (e.g., impact analysis, feasibility) and performing acceptance testing where necessary.
  • Supports the embedment of standard data, processes and systems.   This includes activities such as preparing and provision of training to stakeholders across all regions.
  • Ensures compliance of solution to regulatory and legal requirements where required.
  • Provides subject matter expertise on reporting and data analytics.  For example, provide insights or understanding on the data structure and how best it can be mined to provide the reporting and data analytics required.
  • Consults and engages stakeholders on data and process issues, working to resolve efficiently.
  • Provides expertise and hands-on delivery in support of relevant global projects.

What you will bring

 

  • Minimum 5 years of experience with a mix of domain experience working as a Supply Chain Planner, Demand Planner or similar role and hands-on SAP IBP implementation (or similar ERP systems) or system/process support (as a subject matter expert) experience.  
  • Background in Strategic S&OP, IBP, APO and MRP processes.  Familiarity with optimisation engines (supply optimiser), planning area setup, key figure calculations, Excel Add-in, Scenario Modeling and Data flows between IBP and SAP S/4 HANA (or similar).
  • Experience in designing models that monetize volume plans into financial metrics.
  • Ability to work with data using visualisation tools such as Power BI or SAP Analytics Cloud.
  • Demonstrates ability to build strong stakeholder relationships while effectively planning, influencing, and executing initiatives to achieve business objectives.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to present strategic logic and recommended pathways, coupled with the ability to present to key stakeholders.
