About the role
We are excited to announce an amazing opportunity for a Specialist – Project Delivery role to join our esteemed GBS team in our Manila office in Pasig City. This role is going to be a fulltime role on a hybrid working set-up.
The Specialist – Project Delivery is accountable for overseeing the full lifecycle of assigned projects, ensuring they align with Orica’s project management frameworks and standards. The primary goal of this role is to complete projects within the set timeline and budget while meeting the defined objectives of the project, IT, and the broader business.
What you will be doing
This Specialist – Project Delivery involves developing and maintaining comprehensive project plans that outline activities, resources, objectives, scope, and technical requirements. It requires close collaboration with PMO Analysts, IT Coordinators, and Infrastructure Specialists to secure the necessary resources. The Specialist oversees the full project lifecycle—from initial scoping to final implementation—ensuring timely delivery within budget and in alignment with business goals and project standards. Regular tracking, reporting, and documentation are essential, along with promoting consistent use of project management methodologies across all initiatives.
Effective stakeholder engagement is key, including managing expectations across design and building teams and coordinating with the PMO Lead for scheduling and resourcing. The role also involves escalating critical decisions to leadership, managing vendor relationships throughout the project lifecycle, and working with Solution Architects to align technical insights with project planning. Regular status updates and proactive risk management ensure smooth project progression and alignment with strategic objectives.
What you will bring
- Tertiary qualified
- (2-5) years' experience in a Project Management function
- (2-5) years' experience in the Software Development Life Cycle (SLDC)
- PMP Certification (preferred)
- Excellent project management skills including budget, benefit, schedule and team management skills
- Strong analytical, problem solving and negotiation skills
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills and an ability to maintain good working relationships
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate across all levels of an organisation
- Ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects at once
- Demonstrated customer focus by evaluating decisions from the customer's perspective; building strong customer relationships and partnering well to help fulfil their needs
