About the role
As the Specialist – Master Data, you will support master data objects for AusPac Supply Chain and Manufacturing, following Orica's Master Data Standards. You will use your specialist knowledge to maintain and optimize master data, enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of supply chain operations. This role requires a deep understanding of data management principles and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve strategic goals. You will also ensure the proper use of supporting systems (SAP) to enable informed decision-making and manage risk and compliance across AusPac Supply Chain and Manufacturing.
What you will be doing
- Support maintenance and further improvement of Master Data Standards with the goal of ensuring completeness and accuracy of master data in the system.
- Support optimization of Business Processes to ensure high level of business efficiency and process embedment globally.
- Ensure master data requests are prioritised, reviewed and actioned across the team and within the agreed Service Level Agreements.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders and peers in other functional Master Data teams to ensure change management is well-coordinated to minimize disruption to business.
- Analyze data and engage stakeholders to validate accuracy, while maintaining user guides and training materials.
- Support the development and implementation of governance processes to measure and report compliance to existing standards.
- Deploy and champion programs to improve compliance with standards, and update and manage relevant risk registers, including identification and mitigation plans.
- Support programs to improve compliance with standards and assist in managing responses to audit queries.
- Instil high level of Master Data Standards across Orica’s supply chain and manufacturing processes.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and SAP/master data integration projects in partnership with IT/GDPO.
- Schedule periodic maintenance of Master Data records and provide relevant reports to support Supply Chain and Manufacturing initiatives.
What you will bring
- At least 5 years of hands-on experience in master data management within procurement, supply chain, or logistics.
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge of SAP or other relevant master data tools.
- Process-oriented and meticulous, with a strong emphasis on accuracy in processing and documentation.
- Exceptional analytical skills and numerical aptitude, with a talent for resolving complex data-related issues.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of presenting data insights and collaborating effectively with diverse teams.
