About the role
As a Specialist - Global Supply Master Data, you will ensure the accuracy, quality, and governance of supply chain master data across Orica's global operations. You'll manage and improve critical data supporting procurement, manufacturing, logistics, transportation, and supplier management while working closely with business stakeholders, IT teams, and global process owners. This role also serves as a trusted SME, supporting key transformation initiatives, integrations, and continuous improvement programs to drive data consistency and operational excellence.
What you will be doing
- Create, maintain, and govern Supply Chain Master Data through approved processes and systems.
- Ensure compliance with global data standards, governance requirements, and approval workflows.
- Monitor data quality, resolve issues, and manage risks, exceptions, and escalations.
- Manage key master data domains, including materials, production, suppliers, procurement, transportation, and services.
- Partner with Supply Chain, Procurement, Manufacturing, and Logistics stakeholders to support business needs.
- Provide expert guidance on master data solutions and best practices.
- Support acquisitions, integrations, divestments, and transformation initiatives as a Supply Chain Master Data SME.
- Drive continuous improvement in data governance, standardization, compliance, and process effectiveness.
- Analyze data quality metrics and identify opportunities for automation and efficiency improvements.
- Support audit, risk management, and compliance activities to ensure data integrity across global operations.
What you will bring
- 5-8 years of experience in Supply Chain, Master Data Management, ERP Governance, Procurement, Manufacturing, Logistics, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of supply chain processes, including procurement, production, inventory, transportation, and materials management.
- Hands-on experience with SAP or similar ERP systems, including master data governance and management practices.
- Proven experience managing complex master data across multiple functions, regions, or business units.
- Strong stakeholder management, business partnering, and communication skills across business and technical teams.
- Experience supporting data governance, process improvement, system enhancements, or transformation initiatives.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify root causes and recommend practical solutions.
- Experience in global organizations, mergers and acquisitions, data quality frameworks, and master data platforms (e.g., SAP MDG, DSP, Prospecta) is highly regarded.
