About the role

 

The Specialist – Data Analyst, Assets supports the Asset Management strategy by analysing asset data to deliver actionable insights that inform business decisions. The role focuses on evaluating asset performance, maintenance costs, operational efficiency, and risk to produce clear, decision‑ready reports. Working closely with Asset Management, Operations, and Finance, the role ensures data accuracy and relevance, helping identify improvement opportunities and support long‑term asset planning.

What you will be doing

 

  • Provide subject matter expertise in data analytics and asset performance reporting
  • Support continuous improvement of asset safety, performance, and cost efficiency
  • Analyse and consolidate asset data, including maintenance activity, costs, and productivity
  • Establish and maintain metrics and KPIs to assess asset performance and identify variances
  • Produce clear, insight‑driven reports highlighting exceptions and improvement opportunities
  • Support compliance with asset management standards, policies, regulations, and ISO 5500x
  • Align analytics and reporting practices with industry best practices in asset management
  • Provide data and insights to support asset lifecycle decisions, including acquisition and decommissioning
  • Contribute analysis to inform maintenance cost optimisation and material supply efficiency
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to improve asset performance and decision‑making

What you will bring

 

  • Minimum of four to five years’ experience in a business function or similar industry environment
  • Tertiary qualification in Business or a related discipline relevant to the role
  • Experience working with SAP, including S/4HANA
  • Knowledge of contemporary data collection and analysis tools, including Google Workspace and AI enabled tools
  • Proficiency in producing business and analytical reports using tools such as Power BI
