About the role
At Orica, we’re powered by people who care — about safety, collaboration, and doing the right thing. We’re looking for a driven Officer – Tax, EME (Europe and Middle East) to join our Manila‑based Tax team, supporting Orica’s businesses across the EME region.
Working closely with the Lead – Tax, EME, the Officer – Tax plays an important role in delivering high‑quality tax compliance in line with local legislation and Orica policies, while also supporting regional tax audits and disputes. You will collaborate with a broad network of stakeholders across Corporate Tax, local Finance teams, and Global Business Services (GBS) Finance, contributing to strong governance, continuous improvement, and sustainable business outcomes.

What you will be doing
Key Responsibilities (Aligned with Tax Group Standards):
- Prepare and file direct and indirect tax returns, ensuring accurate and timely submissions and payments
- Support the preparation and completion of transfer pricing documentation, forms, and reports
- Assist with statutory audits, working proactively to identify and minimize potential tax exposures
- Perform monthly reconciliations between tax returns and accounting records to ensure accuracy and integrity of tax balances
- Partner with the Lead – Tax, EME in managing relationships with external tax advisors across the assigned regional businesses
- Support the Lead – Tax, EME in completing tax effect accounting and related reporting for the region
What you will bring
- Bachelor’s degree with a specialization in Accounting
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience in a tax department within a large organization, or in tax and/or financial management
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license preferred
- Experience with a Big 4 accounting firm and/or tax and accounting experience in large multinational corporations is an advantage
- Fluency in English is required; additional language proficiency is a plus
- Strong communication skills with a self-motivated, results-oriented mindset; demonstrates teamwork, professionalism, and composure
- Working knowledge of SAP, particularly S/4HANA, and OneSource is an advantage
