As the Officer – Payroll and HR Support, you’ll play a key role in ensuring accurate, timely payroll processing and delivering exceptional HR services for our team in Mongolia. You’ll be the go-to person for compliance, efficiency, and employee care—helping us uphold Orica’s high standards while navigating local legislative requirements.

What you will be doing

Payroll Support

  • Administer payroll processes, including timesheet collection, approvals, and submission to the payroll provider.
  • Ensure accurate payroll by validating Dayforce timesheets, reconciling GL/PIT reports, and resolving discrepancies.
  • Manage leave compliance, ServiceNow payroll queries, and execute end-of-year reporting and public holiday calculations.
  • Upload bank transfer files, process invoice payments, and support Dayforce users daily.
  • Stay updated on local legislation, ensure compliance through periodic reporting, and implement changes as required.
  • Act as Payroll SME: review processes, provide legislative advice, deliver regular/ad hoc reports, and drive improvements.

HR Support

  • Prepare and formalize official letters for training, salary references, visa/work permits, and other employee requests.
  • Support HRBP with administrative tasks such as document binding, medical check-up bookings, and communication handling.

What you will bring

  • Minimum 3 years’ payroll experience in a similar role.
  • Mongolia payroll experience
  • Strong knowledge of HR and payroll policies, procedures, and local legislation.
  • Solid payroll experience and familiarity with regional payroll systems; Excel proficiency.
  • Excellent analytical, numeracy, and communication skills in English.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively.
