About the role
As a Global Mobility Operations Officer, you will manage the end-to-end activities throughout the Global Mobility Assignee life cycle. This pivotal role serves as the primary liaison between vendors and the organization, ensuring that all Global Mobility activities are executed efficiently and in strict compliance with company policies and procedures. You will oversee the entire global mobility process, from implementation to review and audit, adhering to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) anchored to the Global Mobility policies.
What you will be doing
- Serve as the main point of contact for all Global Mobility inquiries and manage the full lifecycle of processes, including assignment plans, cost management, agreement drafting, visa coordination, and compliance with immigration laws.
- Ensure compliance with Global Mobility policies, drive process improvements, and collaborate with stakeholders to meet their needs and expectations.
- Responsible for maintaining accurate data and confidential documentation across platforms and conducting regular audits of assignee information between MyMobilityHQ and SuccessFactors, in collaboration with Global Payroll, to ensure consistency in remuneration-related details.
- Reinforces the implementation of Global Mobility Policies, assists with policy interpretation and assignment benefits, and helps develop and update policies, procedures, and guidelines to align with business objectives and regulatory compliance.
- Monitor and manage vendor performance, promptly address escalations to safeguard organizational interests and enhance the employee experience, and evaluate and optimize partnerships for cost-effectiveness, compliance, and consistency across regions.
- Collaborate with internal teams (HR, Finance, Legal, Payroll) and external vendors (relocation services, immigration consultants) to facilitate smooth transitions, ensuring mobility processes align with business goals and deliver seamless outcomes.
- Act as a trusted advisor for international assignees and senior business leaders, offering guidance on assignment structuring, mobility packages, and risk mitigation, while serving as a global point of escalation to resolve high-risk or sensitive mobility issues with urgency and precision.
- Facilitate clear communication between stakeholders, ensuring a shared understanding of responsibilities and outcomes throughout the assignment lifecycle.
What you will bring
- Proven experience as a Global Mobility Specialist or in a similar role, managing global mobility programs and assignments.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Global Mobility processes in general.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively collaborate with employees, managers, and external vendors.
- Strong organizational and project management skills to handle multiple assignments and prioritize work effectively.
- Ability to navigate complex international regulations and work with external legal counsel or immigration specialists.
- Proficiency in using HRIS systems and other relevant HR tools, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- High degree of cultural sensitivity and awareness of cultural considerations in global assignments.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills to collaborate and address complex global mobility challenges.
- Continuous learning mindset to stay updated with changes in global mobility regulations and best practices.
