About the role
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Officer - Accounts Receivable to join our finance team. In this role, you will be responsible for specific tasks within the accounts receivable process for designated countries. Your primary responsibility will be to provide first-level support for resolving issues, ensuring smooth and efficient operations.
What you will be doing
People Leadership:
- Help the Supervisor with coaching and training within the team.
- Ensure all employees are properly trained.
- Support the implementation of GBS strategies.
Process Leadership:
- Assist the Supervisor in managing specific processes, ensuring alignment and communication.
- Drive and support continuous improvement projects.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date Standard Operating Procedures.
- Ensure compliance with internal control standards.
- Support the integration of new processes into current operations.
Operations:
- Ensure all Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) are met.
- Provide accurate performance reports and handle issues/escalations.
- Perform daily cash reconciliations and review monthly account reconciliations.
- Ensure timely generation of customer invoices and cash applications.
- Respond to queries within 24 hours.
- Maintain high accuracy in posted documents.
- Ensure timely reporting and meet month-end/year-end closing deadlines.
- Meet stakeholder needs as per agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
- Lead or support meetings with stakeholders.
Ad Hoc Duties:
- Act as a backup for the Supervisor in meetings and reporting.
- Support peers in meetings, reporting, and daily activities.
What you will bring
- Experience: 4-6 years in the Finance/Accounting department of a large company.
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of basic accounting principles, practices, and internal policies.
- Skills: Proficient with ERP and other business/accounting tools.
- Communication: Good at managing stakeholders and communicating effectively in English, both spoken and written.
