About the role

The Officer - Accounts Payable undertakes invoice processing and matching, clearance of reconciliation accounts and processing of payments.

What you will be doing

Key Accountabilities Ensures accurate and timely processing of all vendor invoices Ensures invoices conform to Tax requirements and have relevant supporting documentation. Processes all invoices in accordance with SLA targets Investigates and contacts purchasing with any errors Ensures accounts payable internal control and checks are observed Ensures disbursements are in line with company payment policy Takes measures to ensure invoices are not duplicate Ensures that a high level of customer service is established and maintained Provides first line support to vendor queries. Responds to business queries and ensuring that queries are answered within 48 hours Ensures problems are resolved within SLA guidelines Provides internal customers with practical assistance to understand and comply with vendor payment processes requirements. Ensures that opportunities for process improvements in the purchasing and Accounts Payable processes are identified and enhanced Promotes alternate tools for invoice processing (purchasing card, evaluated receipt settlement, receipt off invoice and electronic invoice upload) Reviews Supplier Payments processes and performance data and implementing process improvements Continuously seeks to standardise processes across platforms.

What you will bring

With tertiary or technical qualification - up to 2 years experience post qualification.
Without formal qualifications - up to 10 years of administrative experience, or allocation of  work to operators.

Role dependent - technical &/or functional business system applications required for tasks (e.g. SAP, SF, Concur, analytics/visualisation tools, engineering software, etc.)

Your qualifications

Insert tertiary qualification required for role (e.g. Accountant must have a tertiary degree in an Accounting discipline, an Engineer must have a tertiary degree in an Engineering discipline)

Technical qualification / legistlative / SHES certification
