About the role

 

The Global Supply Chain Master Data Lead is responsible for the governance, quality, and lifecycle management of Supply Chain Master Data across Orica's global operations. The role leads a team of specialists, ensuring accurate and compliant master data that supports manufacturing, procurement, logistics, supplier management, and product lifecycle activities. It also partners with business and IT stakeholders to drive process improvements, support transformation initiatives, and maintain global data standards.

What you will be doing

 

  • Lead, coach, and develop a global team of Supply Chain Master Data Specialists.
  • Foster a high-performing, customer-focused culture that promotes accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Manage team priorities, workloads, and resources to meet business demand and service levels.
  • Oversee the accurate and timely processing of supply chain master data requests.
  • Ensure compliance with global master data standards, policies, governance, and approval requirements.
  • Monitor service performance, data quality, and operational metrics, while managing risks and escalations.
  • Govern key master data domains, including Materials, Production, Suppliers, Procurement, Transportation, and Services.
  • Build strong partnerships with Supply Chain, Procurement, Manufacturing, Logistics, and other business stakeholders.
  • Provide expert guidance on master data solutions and promote adoption of global data standards.
  • Act as the Supply Chain Master Data SME for transformation projects, acquisitions, divestments, and system integrations.
  • Drive initiatives that improve data integrity, standardization, automation, and process efficiency.
  • Support audit, compliance, and control activities while championing best-practice master data governance across global operations.

What you will bring

 

  • 5-10 years' experience in Supply Chain, Master Data Management, Procurement, Manufacturing, Logistics, or ERP Governance.
  • Proven experience leading teams in a global or complex business environment.
  • Strong knowledge of supply chain processes, including procurement, production, transportation, and materials management.
  • Hands-on experience with SAP or similar enterprise ERP systems.
  • Strong stakeholder management and business partnering skills across functional teams.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, decision-making, and communication skills.
  • Experience in data governance, data quality, process improvement, and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Exposure to mergers, acquisitions, business integrations, or large-scale transformation programs.
  • Knowledge of supply chain data standards and Master Data platforms such as SAP MDG, DSP, Prospecta, or similar solutions.
