About the role
We are thrilled to announce an opportunity for the role of Finance Business Partner Lead at Orica. As a We are excited to announce a key strategic opportunity for a Finance Business Partner Lead to join our Manila-based GBS team, supporting Global Discrete Manufacturing (DM), Environmental Projects, Global Supply, Nitrogen, and SHES.
In this role, you will provide high-impact financial partnership and strategic insight to global operational leaders - becoming the trusted advisor who brings clarity, transparency, and forward-thinking analysis to a complex and rapidly evolving environment.
This position is at the centre of how we drive performance globally. You will help streamline processes, strengthen financial visibility, enable deeper analysis, and unlock value across regions. From partnering with Manufacturing Centre Managers and Regional Finance Business Partners, to powering continuous improvement and cost optimisation, your work will directly influence operational decisions and strategic outcomes across Orica’s global footprint.

The role location is based in our Metro Manila office on a hybrid setup.
What you will be doing
Strategic Business Partnership
- Partner with environmental projects, global manufacturing, supply chain, SHES, and finance leaders to ensure financial alignment with strategy and key value drivers.
- Translate complex financial data into actionable insights for non-financial stakeholders across regions.
- Facilitate strong cross-functional collaboration to drive improved operational and financial outcomes.
Financial Planning, Analysis & Reporting
- Support annual budgeting and recurring forecasting for Discrete Manufacturing, Environmental Projects, Supply Chain, and Nitrogen.
- Prepare and analyse monthly and year-end results, including production costs, inventory, variances, and functional performance metrics.
- Conduct investment modelling (CapEx, OpEx, leasing) to support funding decisions and strategic projects.
- Lead the development of Power BI reporting to enhance visibility and enable self-service financial insights.
Performance Improvement & Value Creation
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across cash, cost, and TWC optimisation.
- Conduct profitability analysis for products and offerings to uplift global earnings quality.
- Anticipate risks, model scenarios, and develop proactive action plans to safeguard business performance.
Operational Efficiency & Controls
- Partner with regional and global teams to enhance value stream insights and uplift financial analysis quality.
- Ensure compliance with Group Standards and support internal/external audits.
- Provide leadership aligned with Orica’s Safety, Health, Environment & Security (SHES) standards.
People & Capability Development
- Develop financial capability across operational teams through education and coaching.
- Foster a growth mindset, provide mentoring, and help elevate finance maturity across the global network.
What you will bring
- 8+ years of financial management experience in a large, global organisation
- Tertiary qualification in a business discipline
- Professional designation desirable (GAICD, CA, CIMA, or CPA)
- Deep experience in manufacturing finance, including cost-per-unit analysis and plant-level performance reporting
- Expertise in cost accounting across multiple sites, including standard costing, variance analysis, cost roll-ups
- Strong capability in inventory valuation, obsolescence reduction, and turnover improvement
- Experience with SAP / SAP HANA
- Scenario modelling and investment evaluation experience
- Strong people leadership and stakeholder engagement capability
- Exceptional analytical, commercial, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to communicate complex financial insights clearly and influence decision-making
- High organisational agility and ability to manage multiple priorities
