About the role
The Digital Communications Specialist plays a pivotal role in the day-to-day management of Orica’s digital presence, with a particular focus on website operations and digital marketing performance. This role is responsible for ensuring the website remains engaging, user-friendly, and aligned with brand standards, while leveraging SEO and SEM strategies to enhance visibility and reach.
What you will be doing
Website Management
- Manage and maintain website content using CMS (Sitecore XM Cloud), ensuring accuracy and consistency
- Build and update campaign and marketing pages, forms, and digital components
- Optimize layout, visuals, and functionality to enhance user experience and accessibility
- Conduct regular website audits to maintain standards and performance
- Support internal stakeholders with website updates and troubleshooting
- Ensure all content aligns with brand and compliance requirements
- Monitor website performance and prepare regular reports
- Collaborate with IT and external partners to resolve issues and improve functionality
SEO & Digital Performance
- Apply SEO best practices to improve search visibility and website traffic
- Manage metadata, alt text, and structured data for optimal discoverability
- Support and manage SEM campaigns to drive targeted engagement
Collaboration & Content Delivery
- Partner with designers, developers, marketers, and subject matter experts
- Translate briefs and campaign objectives into engaging and effective web content
What you will bring
- 4–5 years’ experience in digital marketing, website management, or a related field
- Hands-on experience with CMS platforms (e.g., Sitecore) and digital marketing tools
- Strong understanding of content management systems and digital processes
- Knowledge of SEO and SEM tools and techniques, with the ability to apply best practices
- Experience managing or supporting digital performance tools such as Google Analytics
- Proven stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across multiple teams
- Demonstrated ability to build strong working relationships across all levels
- Experience working in a listed entity or large, complex organization is highly regarded
