About the role

As the Coordinator - Planning, you will be instrumental in refining our regional Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) process. Your role involves creating precise sales forecasts that enhance forecast accuracy. This leads to significant improvements in Orica's inventory management, delivery performance, manufacturing and supply plan stability, and ensures our customers receive their products on time.

What you will be doing

• Analyses procurement data and collaborates with stakeholders to validate opportunities and manage risks.
• Execute and refine sales forecast models by reviewing historical sales data, managing statistical parameters, and preparing accurate sales forecast plans that reflect business complexity.
• Follows and captures market trends that will impact Sales Forecast.
• Monitors and leverages information from New Opportunities Pipelines, applying a consistent approach for the incorporation of prospect businesses into the Sales Forecast.
• Sets up events of interaction with TMs, ABMs and Marketing teams and coordinate sign-off with Sales Forecast approvers.
• Operates Demand Planner Profile in IBP (Integrated Business Planning), which includes responsibility for input of Sales Forecast in the system.
• Represents main forecast variations with rationale for change, and supports budget and long-term planning activities (e.g., 5 years).

What you will bring

• Experience in Mining, Oil & Gas, Industrial, Transportation and other relevant B2B Marketing industries.
• Degree qualified in business, logistics, or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in Supply Chain/Planning roles.
• Experience with enterprise resource planning (ERP), preferable SAP, and material requirements planning (MRP).
• Experience in IBP tool enabled business processes is preferred but not required. 
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel.
