About the role
We’re looking for a driven Tax Analyst to join our Manila team, supporting Orica’s AusPac regional operations.
In this role, you’ll play a key part in managing regional tax affairs—ensuring compliance, supporting tax strategy, and providing insights that help drive business decisions. You’ll work closely with our global tax team in Melbourne, gaining valuable international exposure while contributing to a high-impact function.

What you will be doing
- Ensure compliance with Orica’s Tax Standards, Procedures, and Guidelines across the region
- Partner with the global tax team and support the Tax Manager in developing and implementing regional tax strategies
- Assist in managing tax audits, disputes, and risk areas, proactively identifying and mitigating potential issues
- Support compliance with direct and indirect taxes (including Income Tax, GST, Payroll Tax, Withholding Tax, and Fringe Benefits Tax)
- Prepare and ensure timely filing and payment of all tax returns across the region
- Contribute to tax effect accounting and other reporting requirements
- Monitor and support tax risk management strategies
- Stay up to date with legislative changes and communicate potential impacts to stakeholders
- Coordinate with finance teams and external advisors to ensure all compliance obligations are met
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across tax reporting and compliance processes
What you will bring
- CPA or equivalent qualification (or currently pursuing)
- Minimum of 4 years experience in corporate taxation or a professional accounting/tax environment
- Strong knowledge of corporate tax, transfer pricing, tax treaties, GST, and employment taxes
- Exposure to tax audits is an advantage
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Good communication skills with the ability to work across teams and stakeholders
- Self-motivated, proactive, and solutions-oriented mindset
- Experience with SAP (S/4 HANA) and/or Thomson Reuters OneSource is a plus
- Strong written and spoken English
