About the role
We’re looking for an Analyst – Finance Business Partner (Commercial) to join our Manila team and support our North America business. In this role, you’ll partner closely with our onshore Finance Business Partners and collaborate with sub‑regional and functional stakeholders to deliver high‑quality analysis, insightful reporting, and practical financial advice that supports better decision‑making.
Based in our Finance Analytics & Insights Hub in the Philippines, you’ll play a key role in strengthening profitability reporting, driving process improvements, and enhancing reporting governance across the region.
What you will be doing
In this role, you’ll support Finance Business Partners and regional stakeholders by delivering reliable reporting, practical insights, and continuous improvements that help the business make informed decisions.
- Complete allocated month‑end processes accurately and within agreed timelines
- Monitor and comply with month‑end timetables and reporting requirements
- Partner with Finance Business Partners to support Area Business Managers across regions in scope
- Prepare accurate, meaningful, and timely business and regional performance reports for management
- Support Business Partner inputs to ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance in monthly reporting processes
- Assist line management with fixed‑cost monitoring and control through standard reports and analysis, including identifying key cost drivers
- Support capital requests by preparing or reviewing financial models and commercial business cases in line with Group standards
- Identify and follow up on performance variances and areas of concern, supporting timely resolution and accountability
- Provide financial support and practical advice to the business, including guidance on Orica’s financial systems and processes
- Contribute to accurate budgeting and forecasting inputs
- Assist with the analysis and reporting of budgets, forecasts, and planning activities for the region
- Help reduce manual reporting by improving ERP‑based reporting and addressing ERP–SAP misalignment
- Support the move toward self‑service reporting in partnership with FP&A
- Drive continuous process improvement and maintain reporting governance aligned with Orica standards
- Work collaboratively with other Analysts as part of the Finance Analytics & Insights Hub
- Deliver ad‑hoc financial analysis as required
- Ensure compliance with Group standards and relevant SHE requirements, including attendance at Site SH&E meetings
What you will bring
- A relevant tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance, or a related Business discipline
- 3–5 years’ experience in an analyst or similar finance role
- Professional accounting designation preferred (CPA, CA, CMA, or CIMA)
- Strong ERP experience (Epicor or SAP preferred), with exposure to SAP tools such as BPC / BI HANA
- Advanced Excel skills, with Power BI exposure considered a plus
- Sound understanding of accounting and finance standards relevant to the role
- Strong analytical and critical‑thinking skills, with the ability to work through complex data
- Effective stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to operate under tight reporting timelines
- Willingness and ability to work on night shift to align with Canada‑based Finance Business Partners, particularly during month‑end
- Industry experience in mining and/or manufacturing is desirable but not essential
