About the role

We are thrilled to announce an exciting opportunity for the Analyst – Finance Business Partner position. As a key finance team member, you will play an integral role in supporting business partnering activities. Your primary responsibility will be to provide insightful analysis, comprehensive reporting, and expert financial advice, working closely with Orica’s sub-region and functional management teams to drive informed decision-making.

In this dynamic role, you will collaborate with key stakeholders to align financial strategies with business objectives, contributing to the overall financial health and growth of the organization. Your expertise will be crucial in delivering accurate financial insights and fostering a collaborative environment that supports strategic initiatives.

To excel in the role of Analyst – Finance Business Partner, we seek a driven finance professional with a strong background in business partnering. Essential attributes include exceptional analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate complex financial information.

This will operate on a night shift and a hybrid setup in our Manila Office in Pasig.

What you will be doing

Financial Operations & Reporting:

  • Lead month-end processes, ensuring timely and accurate completion of financial tasks.
  • Prepare and deliver comprehensive financial reports that provide valuable insights into business performance.
  • Monitor compliance with financial standards and enhance reporting accuracy.

Business Partnership & Strategic Support:

  • Partner with the Finance Business Partner and Area Business Managers to provide strategic financial advice and support.
  • Engage with regional leaders to align financial strategies with business objectives and drive growth.
  • Support capital investment decisions with robust financial models and business cases.

Performance Management & Analysis:

  • Analyze financial performance to identify key cost drivers and areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with the Finance Analytics Hub to enhance financial analysis and support decision-making.
  • Contribute to budgeting and forecasting processes, ensuring alignment with business goals.

Continuous Improvement & Ad-Hoc Analysis:

  • Provide proactive financial insights and recommendations to improve business operations.
  • Conduct ad-hoc financial analysis to support strategic initiatives and decision-making.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement in financial practices and processes.

What you will bring

 

  • 3+ years post-graduate experience in accounting or finance (or related discipline)
  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Accounting or Business discipline
  • Professional designation (or latter stages of completion) CA, CMA, or CPA/CIMA
  • Experience in mining and/or manufacturing is preferable
  • Understanding of SAP modules i.e. BPC / BI Hana would be advantageous
  • Good knowledge of related standards
