About The Role – 33860 - Site Supervisor (Opelika AL)

We are excited to announce an opportunity at Orica for a Site Supervisor within our Orica USA Commercial Team focused on supporting Quarrying and Construction site operational activities in Opelika, AL and a satellite site in Perry FL.  This position will supervise the activities associated with the safe and reliable execution of Orica’s products and services.

 

Work Environment
•    Early mornings
•    Monday through Friday, possible on-call
•    Travel: Less than 25% to secondary site in Perry FL
•    Travel to local customer sites
•    Balance between office work and customer sites

What you will be doing

•    Reliable maintenance and regulatory compliance of Orica’s equipment
•    Managing the resource scheduling
•    Managing the inventory
•    Supervising site administration submissions
•    Creating, managing and submitting Orica Safety, Health, Environment and Security monthly reporting

What you will bring

•    Must be able to manage the business, budget and head count planning.
•    Blasting experience is nice to have.
•    Knowledge of Microsoft Office and the Internet.
•    Organization, attentive to detail, time management and quality control.
•    Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.

Role dimensions

•    This person will manage a team of four.
•    Onsite position with travel to/from work sites and customer locations.

Your qualifications

•    Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in appropriate field is nice to have, but you must have at least a high school diploma or equivalent
•    At least 2 years of management experience.

Compensation 
•    Salary Rate $78,675 - $95,000
•    Eligible for annual short-term incentive plan
