About the role

The Team Leader QCT, based in Bulacan, is a hands on leadership role at the heart of safe and reliable blasting operations. You will lead and support a site team to deliver high quality bulk explosive services, working closely with Bench Assistants, MMU Operators, Shotfirers, and the Site Supervisor. From planning through execution of loading, tying, and firing activities, this role plays a key part in driving a strong safety culture, operational discipline, and consistent service delivery, making a visible impact on site performance and customer outcomes every day.

What you will be doing

  • Demonstrating and setting the example of our key company value: 'Safety is our Priority, Always';
  • Ensure compliance on Orica SHES requirements (e.g. events reporting, audits & inspections, Major Hazard Management) 
  • Providing leadership and direction to the quarry site blast personnel. 
  • Assisting with the training and mentoring of quarry site blast personnel. 
  • Working in tight unison with all teammates to provide an excellence in service to our valued customers. 
  • Ensure operational process meets Orica standards and customer's expectations. 
  • Participate in the short, medium, and long-term planning activities of the site.   
  • Assist in preparation of fixed cost budgets, capital expenditures, staffing, and equipment requirements. 
  • Complete mandatory monthly inventory counts and reconciliations and safety meetings. 

What you will bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering or a related discipline, providing a strong technical and operational foundation
  • Demonstrated leadership experience managing overall onsite operations, including safety, training, production, maintenance, and cost control
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage, influence, and collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization
  • Self‑driven and well‑organized, with proven time management skills and the ability to prioritize in a fast‑paced site environment
  • Experience as a safety practitioner or active involvement in safety leadership and risk management is highly advantageous
